STONE COTTAGE
A small, stucco bungalow on a lovely canyon site was transformed into my own home for my family. I clad the exterior in stone, raised interior ceilings, enclosed a porch to become a generous dining room, and added English style paneling, rafters, beams, half-timbered walls of rustic plaster and steel windows. The overall effect is like an English Cottage in the Coteswolds, under oak trees alive with birds and squirrels. It has been a joyous “country” experience in city life.
